What's worse than naked? Spandex. No, seriously. Spandex with no ice cream. Spandex with boys being weird. Spandex that won't come off and also is confusing and troubling and tiny and blonde and now there needs to be a boy. Right now.

What's better than naked? To be honest, as Merlin hurried her across the hall and into his room Francine was having a hard time coming up (dirty) with an answer to that. ...Or maybe Merlin was just happy to see her.

The package said glow in the dark, which Francine did not entirely believe was possible and kind of assumed was a gag, but they were definitely not flavored.

"Um." She was sure she could remember if she just concentrated hard enough. "Um."

Merlin bit his lip. The rubbing only got worse the more waiting there was.

It only took a few painful moments before he came back with... a handful. He didn't know hoe different they may be! "Er---which is the right one?"

She'd be growling impatiently if she hadn't been totally brain-bustingly distracted by watching the scramble. Though she did manage to pull her other leg out of... well, they were a lampshade, now.

"Uh." Oh so helpful. "On a sock it means ..." Like she could come up with a description. She did a thing with her fingers on an upside down hand that tried to indicate stretchy stripe-like things but may have come off as there's an octopus in that condom packet.

"..." Merlin was only more confused, so he did the smart thing and offered the pile to her.

Green. See, like she said. Francine pulled out the packet and held it up. "Wait, that's kiwi."

Other green. "There!" She tried to hand it back to him.

"Kiwi," Merlin echoed, dropping the rest of them on the bed next to them as he tried to open the one she gave him. It was being met with mixed results. It opened, but the condom went flying just a bit.

Oh dear god, no! Visions of a re-broken nose filled his head and Merlin did the first thing that came to mind and slowed everything down for a moment to catch the errant piece of rubber.

And then carefully protected his face before it was normal again.

In a few days, there'd be so much '...WHAT?' at herself that you might think she was someone else who liked to use that phrase when confronted with brain-breakage, but right now there was just I can do this I can do this really I can do this NOW please NOW.
