Francine wasn't the Best. Student. Ever. but when she'd offered to help Blysse find out more about raised-by-wolves stories, she'd made sure to follow through on that, even if it had taken her awhile to get around to finding the books she remembered and inviting Blysse oh so handwavily over.

Of course, the follow-through got a little snagged when she opened up her bookbag while waiting for Blysse to arrive and instead of the library books she'd checked out, found a pile of playfully growling kittens.

Okay, that was gonna take some explaining.

"Like wolf names, in a way," Firekeeper said. Though no wolf would be caught dead with a name like 'Muffins'. "Wolf names is... Shining Coat. Whiner. Blind Seer. One-Ear. Because wolf is like name."

"Is how her voice sound," Firekeeper explained.

"And she puts up with people--" Francine started to correct herself, then wasn't sure if Blysse -- Firekeeper -- would actually consider that a compliment or an insult or what, so she ended up coughing when the pause got uncomfortably long. "--calling her that?"

"Is her name, unless she can maybe earn herself a better one," Firekeeper shrugged. "Is wolf way."

"I guess it could be worse," Francine mused. "I'd hate to end up named Stinky or something."

Okay, that surprised a bark of laughter out of Firekeeper. "Is some I think that name would fit," she commented.
