Room 505, Tuesday After Radio

Not that Francine didn't always stay up to listen on Katchoo's radio nights, but after this morning, she wasn't sure she was ever going to sleep again, thanks.

Shower, on the other hand, she might do that again. But maybe not until morning. More than four in one day and you start to risk chafing.

Right now, though, she was just sitting up in bed with the lamp on and the blankets pulled up, reading about wildern Rodents of Unusual Size, and resolutely not falling asleep.

[OOC: For the bffroomiethingperson. Hey Chewie, don't broadcast this; it's after you get back!]

Radio was not going to be, I'm telling you right now had not been up to her usual standards of snark tonight, but Katchoo was too worn out to care about that. By the time she made it back to her room, she was about 200% more sure than the 110% sure she'd already been that as tired as she was, sleep wasn't going to be happening.

So she wasn't at all surprised to find the lights on and Francine awake when she got there, but she did make a point of closing the door quietly.

"I'm thinking insomnia, party of two. What do you think?"

"Patio." Katchoo moved over toward Francine's bedside, Clocky trailing at her heels. "The view of the stars'd be nice right about now, huh?"

And sit Katchoo did, scooting close to Francine's legs for the comfort of proximity. "Not if you get one of those corner tables."

"With me around?" Katchoo asked. "What're the odds of that happening?"

Katchoo usually did a better job of the pseudo-aggrieved look she gave Francine. "I meant I was just gonna yell, dork."

Katchoo glanced toward said cookies, but chose to lean into Francine instead. "They look very unloved right now. That's not right."

"So what do we do with them in the meantime?" Katchoo reached toward the plate, but the gesture faltered halfway. "Gotta do something to pass the time. It's gonna be a long night, isn't it?"

Katchoo looked at the cookies, then back at Francine. Then back at the cookies, then back at Francine again. "You might be waiting a really long time to fish there."

"We get crumbs everywhere, Clocky will be pissed. God." Katchoo rubbed a hand over her eyes. "So damn tired, Francie."

Katchoo shifted, the better to curl into Francine. "Can't sleep, though." She figured that was going to be going around tonight.

Katchoo shook her head. Wobbled it vaguely might be more accurate. "Don't really feel like trying, Francie. Not gonna do any good."

For both their sakes. Katchoo knew that well enough, but Francine was trying so hard to put on a brave front here that she didn't have the heart to ruin that yet.

"Sure you don't mind?"

"That's not hard when you don't really exist," Katchoo pointed out.
