Room 505, Tuesday after classes

Her classes for the week taken care of in one swell foop, Francine could have flopped back to bed for a nap, but that sort of thing led to a certain amount of staring at the ceiling in the kind of brood that Arthur had tried to poke her out of last week, and she couldn't exactly say he was wrong about distractions.

So she was sorting laundry while watching an early-season Bitterwoman marathon, and occasionally glancing at the chair where yesterday's purchases from DDD's were laid out (there were tags to clip off, still), wondering if she should try them on again now that she was back in her own room with the right shoes available and a door that locked.

Not that she'd locked it, or even shut it, at the moment.

"Aaaagh." Dinah hid under a convenient pillow for a second, then surfaced with a "Yeeeeah. Anyway. That's my last week or so. Plus a trip home with Dru Anderson and Kennedy, to help her out." She grimaced. "Not fun, but we're all in one piece... what have you been up to, laundry girl?"

Well, if distraction was the watchword of the week...

Francine glanced around as if by chance she might have somehow missed Katchoo being in the room somewhere, before pulling a sweater off the Chair of Purchases With Tags As Yet Unclipped. "I, um. May have gone shopping at Dite's yesterday?"

"Ooooo!" With a nearly audible boing! Dinah hitched herself over to the Chair of Purchases of Interesting Provenance, and boggled. "Ooooooooo! Oh my god. Francine." Dinah gave her gleeful look. "You're going wicked."

"Look, there's wristbands too!" As long as she didn't bounce while wearing the outfit, Francine should be fine. "It's like Bitterwoman only without the four inch heels."

At five ten, Francine could skip the four inch heels.

Given previous Adventures in Sexiness, With Added Slapstick, Dinah thought that was probably a good idea. "It's awesome. You'll look like a sexy super-villainess in this. Only the fun kind, not the bad kind." She grinned at Francine, and reached out to gently touch one panel of the skirt. "Sooooft. Ooo. Katchoo will love this." She paused. "I mean, I'd think she would, you know? Especially since it's you in it."

"Or she'll think I'm a crazy person," Francine offered as an alternative. "But she kind of already does, so I'm willing to take the risk."

"Or she could think you're both! That could be fun." Dinah gave her a slightly naughty look. "You don't have to tell details, but if it goes well, I wanna hear about that."

Francine glanced at her shoes for a moment, failing to fight down the blush, but she did manage to grin when she looked up. "If I end up needing somebody to help lace me into it, I'll call you."
